Who Am I?

Just in case some of you reading this don’t know me (seriously, I know only my friends and family are reading this but humor me here, K?) I thought I’d tell you a little bit about myself and my family.

My husband Tim and I have been married for 25 years (I like to pretend I was 10 when we married but at this point in my life, who am I kidding? I’m just thankful to have reached 46) We were blessed with three amazing sons: Will 23 a graduate of Georgia Tech and has his master’s degree in Urban Education through Memphis Teacher Residency in Memphis TN; Luke 21 currently a junior Civil Engineer major at Georgia Tech in Atlanta GA; Matt 19 entering his sophomore year at Furman University in Greenville SC as an English Major who points out EVERY mistake I make on this here blog (thanks Matt!);

We were all five born in Carrollton GA at the same hospital before moving to Atlanta GA in mid-1996 and then on to Augusta GA in late 1999. My boys call Augusta home since it’s where they grew up and I have to say, we love it here. It’s the biggest small town ever and you have to be careful what you say since everyone knows everyone and most seem to be related!

Tim has been assistant principal at Lakeside High School for 7+ years where all three of our boys graduated. As for me, I retired in May 2012 from my position as Design Coordinator at the Augusta National Golf Club where I worked for almost 10 years.

That’s about it folks. Our life is nothing like we imagined nor are we where we thought we’d be at this point. We’ve seen and done things we never dreamed we’d do. We’ve meet people who have changed our lives and made them so much better. We’ve experienced things that made us better people and we’ve learned that God never stops working on us. Can I get an AMEN?!?!
